Computer Aided Design	Based in Retford in Nottinghamshire, England, RMD CAD Services was founded in 1994 by Richard Deas who had spent the previous 20 years involved in the Bulk Handling and Mining Industries. Experience gained working for companies such as Jenkins of Retford, Don Valley Engineering and British Coal has been invaluable in establishing a reputation for accuracy and reliability. Web Site Design
	All drawings are produced using AutoCAD software and as such are compatible with almost any CAD system currently in use. The use of CAD greatly increases both the production speed and accuracy of the finished drawing. The various components in a design can be assembled using the computer so that any design errors can be corrected prior to manufacture, saving both time and money.
	For larger or limited time contracts, additional personnel are usually available to supplement my services. As a team we have been involved with many large projects all over the UK and our drawing services can be augmented with the supply of any necessary structural calculations.

	The use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) has revolutionised the drawing office over the past few years. A small team of competent CAD draughtsmen can now easily undertake the work of many manual draughtsmen. The key word is competent; a good CAD draughtsman needs a sound background in, and understanding of, the equipment being designed. The computer can't disguise bad design. Over the past few years I have worked extremely hard to establish a reputation for both reliability and accuracy with my clients. With the advent of the Internet and Email, drawings can be sent anywhere in the world and contracts have been undertaken for clients all over the UK.

	During my years in various drawing offices and more recently as a sole trader, I have been involved with many projects from small fabrications to complete projects. Areas of expertise include:

	This experience, together with my ability to produce accurate drawings in a reasonable timescale has enabled many companies to expand the services they can offer to their clients. All work is generally undertaken from my office, relieving my clients of the need to allocate space in their premises. Working directly, without use of a agency also reduces the cost to you. Finished drawings can be supplied plotted out (up to A0 size) as well on computer file, AutoCAD .dwg or .dxf format.

	Existing manual drawings can be converted into computerised drawing files. This process can also include changing from Imperial (ft&ins) to Metric (mm) units. It is also possible to incorporate any changes due to revisions in proprietary equipment into the drawing during this process. A common update on steel fabrication drawings is the replacement of obsolete imperial angles and channels with their modern metric equivalents. The resulting documents are compatible with all other drawings produced using CAD and can be used for archive purposes as well as integration into future designs.
